Bonding over kennel duty

Created by Kate 3 years ago

I first met Tracy 6 years ago when we were both mucking out the dog kennels at Barby Keel's animal sanctuary. I remember wondering how anybody could look so glamorous dressed in wellies and rubber gloves. Tracy had the whispering touch with animals and she agreed to help me train a brute of a Boxer/Staffie named Billy into a dog you wouldn't cross the road to avoid. She was endlessly patient with both Billy who was besotted with her and the potential owner. We went for hours and hours of country walks because the town was a little risky due to Billy's pathological dislike of other males! Despite our best efforts it was not to be. It was one lunge too many at my husband's bare legs in a dressing gown.

I will always remember Tracy's quirky views on life and her sparky humour. She was a real beauty inside and out, full of charm and energy and I will miss her.
